Opponents and supporters of a $75 million movie theater, hoteland retail shopping complex in downtown Evanston squared offWednesday in a debate over the size of the project.
Some residents contend the project is too big and too dense forthe Northwestern/Evanston Research Park at Clark and Benson. Thedesign includes a 16-screen movie theater, 160,000 square feet ofretail space, a 180- to 200-room hotel, and a performing arts andsenior center.
