Fed: I can understand outrage over Bashir case: Rudd

KEVIN RUDD says he can understand the outrage from the families of 88 Australians ..

killed in the 2002 Bali bombings .. after Muslim cleric ABU BAKAR BASHIR was cleared of
any involvement.

The Indonesian Supreme Court has ruled that BASHIR did NOT give his blessing to the
bombings .. overturning his conviction on conspiracy charges in the attack that killed
a total of 202 people.

The Labor leader's told ABC radio .. it's a terrible blow to the victims and families.

But Mr RUDD says he's concerned the Indonesian government hasn't been given access to HAMBALI.

The man who allegedly masterminded the bombings is being held at Guantanamo Bay ..

after three years in secret CIA captivity.

And the opposition leader says he wants JOHN HOWARD to reveal what representations
he's made to the US to allow the Indonesians access to HAMBALI .. and why they were refused.
